Once again, I have been remiss in posting on my blog. Where has the time gone? All I can say is "Good Grief"!
I have recently read the books by Suzanne Collins, "The Hunger Games" and "Catching Fire". I am currently reading "Mockingjay". What great books! And, no, I have not seen the movie yet. Personally, I like to have read the book first before I go and see the movie.
Also on my reading list is David Baldacci's "Zero Day". Another intriguing book. I read his book, "One Summer" and loved it; so thought I would try another one of his writings. One of my friends thought it was different that I was reading Baldacci, as that is not the genre I usually read, but "One Summer" is quite different than his regular books.
Have to run, work awaits!

Oh my heavens! It has been such a long time since I have blogged. Life has gotten in the way -- father-in-law taken to the hospital because he was coughing up blood (he has Stage IV Lung Cancer and Brain Cancer). He is still in the hospital. So, a lot of traveling and a lot of lack of sleep.
More blogging later - I have found some bits of time to read!

Friday...the end of what seems to be a long week.
I haven't finished any books this week. I am currently reading:
The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls
The Girl She Used to Be by David Cristofano
I am listening to audio book in the car:
Shopaholic and Sister
I have two things to be picked up at the library - @Brainerd Library is Take Three by Karen Kingsbury and @Little Falls Library is an audio recording - Shutter Island.
Here's hoping for some time this weekend to sit down with a good book!

It's Monday!
Monday morning...start to another work week! This weekend was basically uneventful; beginning with cleaning (UGH) and ending with a shift at 'tramlaw' (you figure it out - he he!). I was able to watch a couple of movies, and finish a couple of books and start another book.
Movie review: Julie and Julia. Great movie. Meryl Streep rocks it as Julia Child. She has her gestures and language down to a T. The movie itself was great from beginning to end. 4 stars!
Movie review: Everybody's Fine: With Robert DeNiro. Sad movie. I had picked up this movie to watch it, going by the cover, which looked like it may be a good, fun movie. NOT. It was a sad movie, especially since it portrayed the state of many families. 2 stars!
Books I finished this weekend: The Missing and The Longing. Both Amish novels. I can hardly wait to read the sequels to both.

Happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone! Yes, I am wearing o' the green! I have to since I have Irish blood running through my veins! Interesting that today is St. Patrick's Day and I just last night finished reading "The Oak Leaves" by Maureen Lang.
The setting of this book was Ireland and England. A great read! The book jumps back and forth from present day to the 1800's in Ireland and England and is a book about how genes are passed down generation through generation! In this case, it was the Fragile X gene that was passed down. I would recommend reading this book.
